Try the Camera Journal design thinking challenge. Students are challenged to identify, photograph, describe, and redesign a poorly designed object or process from their daily lives.

Instead of sending students home with worksheets or other less engaging assignments, challenge them to think deeply about they interact with their environment on a daily basis. Thinking about and documenting the flawed design all around us is building our innovation capacity.
